Client Brief

Following the success of concepts such as Bitterman and Meat Shop, the client partnered with YouMakeMe to develop Butler, a diner-style concept designed for future growth and expansion.

The goal was not to recreate a nostalgic diner, but to build a contemporary dining brand that captures the comfort, generosity, and sense of community diners were once known for, reinterpreted for Bangkok’s evolving restaurant culture.

Brand Identity
We positioned Butler as a “New Wave Diner”, sitting between classic comfort food culture and modern restaurant refinement. The visual identity was designed to feel bold, recognisable, and scalable, anchored by a strong red signature, warm neutral tones, and confident typography. Playful illustrations and graphic details were introduced across menus, packaging, and communications to add personality while maintaining a clean and contemporary aesthetic.

Brand Voice
A distinct tone of voice was developed to feel direct, welcoming, and lightly witty. The language reflects Butler’s approach to proper comfort food and polished service, balancing warmth, personality, and everyday dining moments without unnecessary fuss.

Video & Photography Direction
The visual direction focused on creating content that feels real, appetite-led, and naturally in motion. Photography and videography captured food preparation, service moments, and everyday interactions through candid framing, minimal styling, and warm natural lighting. The approach avoided overly staged or theatrical treatments, reinforcing Butler’s approachable and lived-in atmosphere.

Collaterals Roll Out
The identity was extended across menus, packaging, takeaway materials, and supporting brand collaterals, creating a cohesive system that could support both the launch phase and future expansion of the concept.

Social Media Strategy
A complete social media strategy was developed to position Butler as Thonglor’s new wave diner. The strategy focused on appetite-led storytelling, neighborhood energy, and everyday dining moments, balancing polished visuals with approachable content across Instagram and Facebook. Clear content pillars, launch campaigns, paid media direction, KOL strategy, and platform guidelines were developed to support long-term brand growth.

Social Media Management
Ongoing social media management focused on maintaining a consistent visual and verbal identity across all content touchpoints. The approach combined food storytelling, community-focused content, atmosphere-led visuals, and real service moments to establish Butler as a reliable all-day dining destination within Bangkok’s competitive F&B landscape.

Outcome

Butler launched as a contemporary interpretation of diner culture in Bangkok, combining comfort food with a confident and recognisable identity.

Designed with long-term growth in mind, the project established a scalable foundation while creating a place that feels familiar, approachable, and built around everyday community and dining culture.
